About
My name is Caroline Devereaux; I am an artist in Baltimore, Maryland. I received classical art training before earning a BA with a focus on communications and media production.
I founded my arts-based business, Cat and Milk Studio, LLC, in 2014. Working mainly in pen and ink, watercolor and digital media, I specialize in animals, both realistic and whimsical. My portfolio features lots of children’s book illustrations and historical realism. I am driven by a passion for craftsmanship: I enjoy focused, meticulous effort that invites viewers to slow down and notice details.
When I am not drawing and painting, I enjoy knitting and needlefelting. I travel as much as I can, as far as I can. I adore animals, especially my two cats and five chickens. My partner and I began fostering kittens during the pandemic; its like operating a nursery school for cats.
